"We
resolve that The Emmaus Board is the governing body for the Purchase
Area 4th Day Community, Inc.
The Emmaus Board is made up of elected members from the community
as Community Lay Director, Community Spiritual Director, Treasurer and
Members at Large.
Two representatives from the Chrysalis Board (Community Lay
Director and Community Spiritual Director) sit on the Emmaus Board.
This Emmaus Board is responsible for the activities of the
Purchase Area 4th Day Community." (Adopted, February 2004)

Brief
Overview
The Walk to Emmaus is
a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church
through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. The
Purchase Area 4th Day Community (comprised of Purchase Area Emmaus &
Purchase Area Chrysalis organizations) exists to offer this program in
the Purchase Area of Kentucky by agreement with The
Upper Room.

The
Board
The Purchase Area
Emmaus organization is governed by a 12 member Board
of Directors elected by the Purchase Area Emmaus/Chrysalis community. Board members
serve 3-year terms and are elected in the fall of each year.
Various committees
also report to the board on a regular basis. The Emmaus Board
meets the first Thursday night of each month at 7:00 p.m. at First
Christian Church in Benton, unless otherwise announced.
If you

always welcome to attend any board meeting.

About The Board...
The Purchase Area
Emmaus organization is governed by a 12 member
Board
of Directors elected annually by the Emmaus Community members.
Board members are elected
to 3 year terms with 3 members rotating off each year.
Various committees
report to the Board on a regular basis.
A board
representative is
present on each Emmaus walk to assist the team in any way needed. The
